Autofly V26.07

Autofly v26.07 is a major release that brings more dependable media sync, richer thermal capture controls, intelligent Spotlight and Point of Interest flight modes, built-in AI detection, and fuller camera and range-finder controls, all in one update.

Updated 6 Aug 2026

What’s new

  • More dependable media sync: photos and videos upload more reliably from the drone to the controller and into the cloud, with improved organisation by inspection and asset. Captured media can also be previewed in the sessions screen before it leaves the controller.
  • Better thermal capture controls: thermal picture-in-picture, palettes, overlays and region metering give crews more ways to assess heat during inspections, and IR and RGB can be captured together in a single pass.
  • Intelligent flight controls: Spotlight and Point of Interest modes help operators keep a chosen subject or point in view, including by drawing a target area on the live video feed.
  • Built-in AI detection: Autofly can now detect cars, people and boats in the live view, and a detection can be selected to start Spotlight.
  • Fuller camera and range-finder controls: supported cameras now offer full manual exposure (EV, ISO, shutter and aperture), selectable focus modes and lens selection, and manual focus and lens choice can be set per waypoint. A new storage-lens indicator shows which lens a capture will be written to and warns when that differs from the live view. Laser Range Finder settings and status handling give crews more control and confidence in their readings.
  • Clearer in-flight information: improved telemetry and map indicators make key flight information easier to read at a glance, the Laser Range Finder readout is larger, and the map now rotates with two fingers with a control to reset it to north.
  • Operational stream tagging: supported teams can add a tag when starting an Autofly stream, linking it to the live stream, saved media files, or as an operational reference.

Reliability and stability

  • Flight logs are easier to access and more resilient during sync, and interrupted uploads wait for the network to return and retry on their own.
  • Smart Inspection favourites, megaphone playback and capture flows are more stable.
  • RTK settings are retained between sessions, reducing pre-flight setup effort.
  • More reliable corridor inspections: improved above-ground-level handling and clearer corridor mission information reduce the risk of setup errors before flight.

Bug fixes

  • Geofence return-to-home now returns the aircraft to its home point rather than landing at the boundary.
  • Reversed missions retain their direction when resuming after a pause or battery change.
  • Thermal images are compatible with DJI Thermal Analysis Tool.
  • Auto-sync after landing now completes rather than sitting on the spinner indefinitely.
  • Interrupted uploads retry when the network returns instead of stopping silently.
  • IR and RGB can be selected together for a single capture again.
  • Manual photos taken after a Smart Inspection use the lens on screen, not the lens the mission ended on.
  • The Laser Range Finder readout appears in both telemetry widgets, and target units stay imperial across a battery change.
  • Megaphone recordings appear in recent files straight away, and switching files while the speaker is in use no longer errors.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install the app?

Open this page on your DJI controller or Android device, download the APK, install it and log in when prompted. You’ll need an active Unleash Live account to use Autofly.

What controller hardware is supported?

DJI RC Plus, DJI RC Pro Enterprise and Android 8.0+ devices that support DJI Mobile SDK V5.

What drones are supported?

Matrice 4E/T, 4TD, Mavic 3 Enterprise, Mavic 3 Thermal, Mini 4 Pro, Matrice 30 / 30T, Matrice 400/350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK (SDK V5-supported firmware).

What network connectivity is required?

A stable upload speed of 3 Mbps or higher is recommended for low-latency streaming. Remote operations may require stronger connectivity depending on your SOPs.

How do I view the live feed?

Live video appears in the Remote Cockpit, the Watch page in your organization and, if enabled, your secure Public Watch Page.

How can I share video with stakeholders live and after streaming?

Share a live stream through your secure Public Watch Page link. After flights, recordings can be shared via generated share links.

What permission or approvals are needed?

No specific permission is required to use Autofly with ultra low latency streaming or remote camera control. For complete remote operations, EVLOS or BVLOS approvals are required as per the CASA guidelines. For more information please contact our partners at HoverUAV.

Can only one drone be connected to one Unleash Live account?

Multiple drones can stream to the same organization. Each drone needs its own controller, and up to four streams can be viewed simultaneously on the Watch page. Higher limits are available for enterprise plans.

Does Unleash Live only support drones or can other video feeds be used?

Yes. The platform supports video from drones, fixed cameras, mobile devices, action cameras and robotics.
