Unleash Live is celebrating its tenth anniversary and building category authority as the recognised name in operational computer vision for critical infrastructure. We're looking for a hands-on, part-time PR, Communications & Awards Manager to earn that recognition through earned media, thought leadership, awards, CEO profile elevation, and industry and partner communications, plus our tenth anniversary programme for the remainder of 2026. About Unleash Live

Unleash Live delivers enterprise operational computer vision for distributed, asset-intensive infrastructure across Utilities, Mining, and Oil & Gas. Our two productised solutions, ORB (asset inspection) and PRISM (asset monitoring), are enterprise-ready and independently deployable, and are in production with Tier 1 operators across ANZ and North America.

We're celebrating our tenth anniversary and growing at scale, with category-authority ambition to be the recognised name in operational computer vision for critical infrastructure around the world. This role is central to how we earn that recognition.

The Role

This is a hands-on, part-time communications role that builds category authority and brand credibility for Unleash Live through earned media, thought leadership, awards, CEO profile elevation, industry membership and partner communications, and, for the remainder of 2026, our tenth anniversary programme. You'll work inside the marketing content function and under our internal governance framework, so your output is always on-message, evidence-anchored, and enterprise-grade.

Because the role is part-time, it is scoped around focus, not coverage of everything. Your core owned pillars are awards, earned media and PR, CEO profile drafting, and long-form thought leadership. You play a supporting and coordinating role on social, employee advocacy, and anniversary delivery, with design and the wider marketing team behind you.

Where the role sits

  • Reports to: Head of Marketing.
  • Works closely with: The CEO on profile and voice; design and visual assets; the US sales team, given the North American focus; the B2B Campaign Manager on content handoffs; Account Executives for proof points and customer stories; and partner marketing teams and industry associations on joint communications.
  • Part-time rhythm: 2 to 3 days per week. Priorities are set fortnightly against the marketing plan and the live content calendar.

What You'll Be Doing

Earned media and PR

  • Run a reactive and opportunistic media approach across target outlets: T&D World, Power Magazine, Mining Magazine, and the AFR tech section.
  • Draft and place bylines, commentary, and announcements that lead with operational and financial value, not product features.
  • Own the Unleash Live enterprise narrative campaign (AU and US versions) in a peer-empathetic, evidence-anchored tone.
  • Build a lightweight media list and maintain relationships with priority journalists and editors.

CEO profile elevation

  • Execute a LinkedIn-first programme: draft approximately one post per week across category point of view, deployment reality, sector observation, and industry problem framing.
  • Hold the voice: hands-on, operationally grounded, present-tense. Not aspirational, not vendor-style.
  • Support speaking abstract submissions in ICP verticals, framed as practitioner insight rather than vendor pitch.
  • Feed CEO and founder categories into the awards pipeline.

Awards

  • Own the awards calendar and submissions end to end.
  • Research target awards and gather supporting evidence and proof points before drafting any submission.
  • Manage the internal proof-point approval process for submissions.

Thought-leadership content

  • Write white papers (for example a Computer Vision capability paper for IT, OT, and CV audiences), long-form blogs, PR articles, and newsletter contributions.
  • Ground every piece in production reality and lead with the economic or operational outcome for the buyer.

Industry memberships and partner communications

  • Own the communications relationship with our industry bodies. Manage co-created content, association LinkedIn series, event presence, and thought-leadership amplification.
  • Run partner communications across our technology partners, coordinating co-branded content, joint announcements, partner webinars, and partner recognition.
  • Keep partner and membership activity tied to category credibility and pipeline: co-sell and co-branded storytelling over awareness-only activity.
  • Position Unleash Live across the global industry conversation, weighted predominantly to North America and the United States, with Australia alongside.

Social and brand awareness

  • Run the organic LinkedIn and X programme: brand-consistent posts, disciplined file naming and SEO, and a push toward greater follower milestones.
  • Support the employee advocacy programme.

Focus and Capacity

Two to three days per week, with the role deliberately weighted. Priorities flex fortnightly, and during award deadlines and the anniversary window the balance will shift, with lower-priority streams pausing rather than everything running thin at once.

  • Core, owned: Awards submissions, earned media and PR, industry membership and partner communications, CEO profile drafting, and long-form thought leadership.
  • Supporting, coordinated: Organic social, employee advocacy, and anniversary delivery, executed with design and wider team support.

What You Will Not Own

  • Brand and visual identity, or design sign-off.
  • Product content, solution briefs, and battle cards (sit with product and sales enablement).
  • ABM campaign execution, paid media, and HubSpot sequence build.
  • MarTech architecture, pricing, commercial negotiations, and high-level marketing strategy.

What Good Looks Like

  • Category authority: Measurable share of voice, media coverage secured, LinkedIn reach, and follower growth and engagement growth.
  • Brand and credibility: Award submissions filed on time, shortlists and wins, and improving inbound and referral quality.
  • CEO profile: A consistent cadence of roughly one post per week, growing engagement, and speaking slots secured.
  • Awards: A maintained pipeline, submissions in ahead of deadline, and full compliance with submission requirements.
  • Anniversary: Communications delivered on schedule across the ten moments.
  • Content throughput: An agreed volume per fortnight, with a high first-pass approval rate.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • 5+ years in B2B PR, communications, or content, ideally in enterprise or industrial technology.
  • A track record of earned-media placements and award submissions that shortlisted or won.
  • A strong long-form writer: white papers, bylines, and executive ghostwriting in a distinct CEO voice.
  • A disciplined operator who is comfortable working inside a governed system, to a defined lexicon and sign-off gates, rather than on freelance instinct.
  • Self-directed: sets priorities within a part-time envelope and does not wait to be briefed.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with mining, utilities, energy and oil & gas, or critical infrastructure.
  • Awareness of the North American and US media and industry-association landscapes, with ANZ alongside.
  • Experience managing partner or industry-association communications and co-branded content.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted drafting and research workflows.

Practical Detail

  • Commitment: Initial part-time 6 month contract, 2 to 3 days per week.
  • Location: Remote, Australia-based ideal. Core hours are Australian business hours, with some earlier starts on certain days to overlap with the North American and US teams. Candidates working overseas will be considered where they can hold this overlap.
  • Tools: Notion, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Slack, and Claude and AI-assisted drafting.
